Doh Pau (Versi 2)

Assalamualaikum,

Kali ni saya nak share resepi buat doh pau menggunakan resepi MamaFami. Saya copy n paste aje resepinya ya. Malas nak translate hehe. Kali ni tak de gambar sebab hasilnya sama dengan pau yang saya buat ari tu.

Ingredients :

500g flour
1 1/2 teaspoons instant dry yeast
1/2 cup sugar 1/4 cup corn oil
1 1/4 cups lukewarm water

Method :

1. Dilute sugar in the water.
2. In a mixing bowl, add flour, yeast and oil. Mix well.
3. Pour in water, bit by bit while kneading. Knead till a soft dough is formed.
4. Divide dough into 60g balls. Leave to rest for 10 minutes.
5. Roll flat and put the filling in the middle. Cover the filling with the dough and place the ball on a piece of small paper or on a small piece of banana leaf.
6. Arrange the balls on the steamer and cover the steamer with a clean plastic bag and leave to rise for 35 to 40 minutes or till it double it's size.
7. Steam for 15 minutes on high heat.
8. After steaming, do not open the lid for 10 minutes.

Filling can be of your choice. For example, red bean filling, coconut filling or even savory filling (karipap filling). For red bean filling, just boil red beans till soft, add sugar to taste, a bit of oil (to give it a shiny look). If too runny, add a bit of flour.
